Re: How is your sleeping patterns?

I've had insomnia since I was a kid. On a good night, it takes me at least an hour to fall asleep, usually more. And I will wake up 1-4 times on a good night (5+ on a bad night). And I rarely can get to sleep before 10PM even if I want to, unless I'm so behind on sleep I'm feeling sick.

I have a lot of dreams. And I semi-lucid dream. What I mean by that is that I'm usually aware that I'm dreaming, and I can often direct things to happen. But also there is a lot of time where I know what I want to happen and yet I can't make it. Like, whenever I have Middle Earth dreams, for some reason, the setting always looks modern with cars and everything. I can't get rid of them.

I wake up instantly. And once I'm awake I'm awake (if I'm fully awake). If I want to go back to sleep, it will take another hour.

Lucid dreaming is so fascinating to me. I've only had a few (not voluntarily) and it's just such an odd feeling. I remember having one where I realised early on I was dreaming, and kept trying to do stuff to wake myself up in the dream like jumping down stairs, hitting my head etc, and nothing worked. I got really frustrated. :P
