That's Angelina Jolie. She was briefly married to Jonny Lee Miller. Then she became a big movie star in the 1990's. Later she was with Brad Pitt for a long time, and she's the mother of his children. She's famously eccentric.

This also looks like an old photo. I'd say she looks a little bit older now. So if you thought this was a current photo, you might be confused.

I had no idea she was married to Jonny Lee Miller. Of course, I had never heard of Miller before Elementary, and to this day know basically nothing about him. All I remember of Jolie's previous relationships is the Billy Bob Thornton blood vial necklace thing.

Without expending the effort for a 30-second google search, I'm going to guess this was during/after Hackers (which, if you haven't seen, is so incredibly, hilariously 90s).

I wonder if it's still called a "showmance" when the venue isn't live theater?

Oh, yeah. They were both from show business families. They made a movie together, got married pretty young, then separated, all before most people knew who either of them were.

I remember when I knew him as 'that guy who was married to Angelina.' Now I've seen him in several different roles, I think I like him better than I like her. Her label in my mind hasn't quite been downgraded to 'that primadonna that was married to JLM for about a year once,' but she's been headed that way. She's a really interesting person, but also seems like a really hard person to actually work or live with.

I guess I even mentioned it because I'm such a JLM fan now. It's interesting to me that they were married, considering how different they seem to be, and how incredibly different their careers have been. But I think I can see what they saw in each other, and if you've ever seen Hackers, you can see how it could happen. There's this place where they intersected once.

I think Brad was the longest romantic relationship she's had, though.

"eccentric"=insane and too rich to be put in a mental hospital, i.e. Michael Jackson or Howard Hughes
