It's definitely not making fun of women. You really should check it out. Sometimes it's so amazing, and the contestants have so *much* talent. Sometimes they don't, but hey - they're just people.

Drag, at least on RuPaul is very trans and gender-queer positive, very body positive. It is also it's own little world, so do take things with a grain of salt and look stuff up/ask questions if something strikes you as weird or off or bad.

How is the whole idea of "serving fish" - in other words "you look so much like a woman I can smell your (nonexistent) vagina from here!" - NOT making fun of women?

It's making fun of women to say that a cis man who is trying to look like a woman makes a convincing woman?
