(Anonymous) 2018-03-27 12:43 am (UTC)(link)The second game? EXCELLENT. Hands down my fav of the three. Convoluted, fucked up, weird as hell and the bad guys get what they want while the good guys don't--it was brilliant because it wasn't about defying fate as it was trying to correct the past, not realizing that that was what was going to doom them. What happens to Serah right before the screen goes 'TO BE CONTINUED' makes me throw up my hands in 'HOW DARE YOU' glee every time. Also more Yeul and Caius is never bad. I love them SO MUCH.
The third game was straight up trash. I liked Snow. And that was about it. The gameplay was garbage, the whole days system was AWFUL, the lack of direction was horrendous, I played it with a guide and I still hated it and felt rushed and stressed and unhappy the whole time because of the clock always running down. Snow was great, though. I'll give them that.
