123. I agree with you, but the impossible-to-win fight has me exhausted.

128. I do, too.

133. It's worse when it's the girls who bitch about how backwards Jane Austen is and then absolutely LOVE Twilight.

144. If you walk without rhythm, you never learn.

163. Oh my God, I watch that scene all the time, just for John. He does look strangely good as a blond.

I have an exhaustive WTF post (http://community.livejournal.com/twilight_sucks/28548.html) over at [livejournal.com profile] twilight_sucks if you want to know the details. It will invoke much head-desking, though, so I suggest you get a cushion first.

...........Oh man. I keep trying to get the courage to read the book and give it a chance (since a friend of mine that in general shares my tastes considers herself a fan of the books, and if I'm going to bash them I feel like I should read them), but when fans like that appear...I don't know if the books would be even worth it.

To be supportive to the aforementioned friend as well as my little sister, I read the first book. It was awful. Stephanie Meyer's use of language is syrupy and cloying, and there's not a single likable character. And the "romance" sets women back 70 years.
