Actually, people do fall at either end of the Kinsey scale, too. But a lot of the people vary more often than they admit to- even if they wouldn't have sex with someone of the same gender, they might get a few homosexual crushes, etc. I don't know why being gay, straight, or bi is such a big deal as people are making it out to be, and why some people think bisexuality is so odd. ;;

I've never been afraid to admit to anything, so riddle me this:

A female who has only ever had crushes on, been interested in, and had sex (not to mention been sexually aroused only by) males, I'm most definitely straight. There's never been any questioning, and my body does not react to other females in any way.

So, yes, there is such thing as purely heterosexual people. Not everyone is "lol bi!!1"

Oh, no, I actually think we agree, anon! I wasn't trying to say that everybody is bi. Like I said, there are people that are purely straight, or purely gay. And those who are asexual. It's not really a big deal. I do think a lot more people aren't as close to the extreme edges as they'd like to admit, though- hence the OP having one (and possibly, though I can't say for sure, more) crush on someone of the opposite gender, yet having to scramble around for reasons that she's not anything other than a total lesbian.

You, from what you've described, are a 0 on the Kinsey scale- purely heterosexual! The OP might be a 5: predominantly, almost 100% homosexual, incidentally attracted to the opposite gender- she might only find one or two guys in her entire life that get her hot, but she varies a little from the pure 6 of being exclusively a lesbian. Hell, if it's just one person, she might fall at a 5.5 or something. XD

I guess what flabbergasts me is how many people will fight tooth and nail to avoid being labelled bisexual, and I just... don't get why. At all. XD; Especially coming from the gay side- if you're straight, you might feel it's a "dirty" or wrong thing, but shouldn't homosexuals be more... open, than that?
