114. A lot of it is, and a lot of it isn't. Fanfiction is, in fact, an excuse for all kinds of things!
123. Why can't it be all three? In my experience, it is. Of course, that varies from fandom to fandom and age group to age group, but I do think that fans are often fans because whatever they're fanning over helps them to understand the world around them. Maybe that doesn't translate to complex issues of morality or life and death to everyone, but it's much more "worthy" than plain old squeeing.
I do absolutely agree that it's about embracing and understanding humanity. Thanks for the secret, I am glad to see someone like-minded. PLease don't lose hope.
128. "Sorcerer's Stone" is stupid and dumbed-down and irritating.

My advice is a peaceful, daggerless confrontation. It didn't have to end that way!
146. ... That is just fucking weird, more than anything. Who the hell said only Japanese people could kick ass...? Can you like, not identify with characters that have Japanese names or something?
