I personally don't care for them, but then I just don't read them.

And for me since I tend to like a lot of fantastical settings, taking those characters out of those settings and putting them in high school or a coffeeshop isn't remotely interesting at all.

But hey if you like them or write them I'm not gonna get nasty at you or whatever, enjoy it, I just won't be joining in is all.
