I've seen this happen with male characters as well, it's not unique to her.

Stiles Stilinksi, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, Castiel, Bucky Barnes to name the ones I've seen.

And they're shipped with everyone within their own fandoms as well as some characters outside of it. Now maybe Darcy has more, I don't know since I don't keep track of it, but I've seen all those male characters in fandoms they're not part of.

Yeah, none of those are anywhere near as prolific outside of their own fandoms. They also tend to stick to 1-2 other fandoms that at least make sense (particularly Buffy/SPN, Bucky/Shows SebStan has been in, Stiles/SPN).

How prolific is her fic outside the MCU? Not being confrontational I'm genuinely curios(I've done a small amount of tag hopping on Ao3 and getting a couple hundred pages at most).

DA but those are all major characters with well-defined personalities. It makes sense that they'd have a ravenous fanbase. Darcy was a minor character who existed to be the lolquirky audience stand-in. The complaint is generally not just that she's everywhere, but that she's everywhere and it makes no sense because there really isn't much to her (which results in her mostly being used as a self-insert, and self-inserts have long been looked down on in fandom). Coulson was in a similar boat until he got a bigger role in canon, and people complained about that too.

I guess I never saw the Coulson hate, I mostly just saw an extreme amount of love for a minor character, much like her.

People can dislike it or find it irritating, I just find the hate a bit overblown. It's annoying at worst.

Yeah, I agree with the above poster that the Clint and Coulson hate was pretty strong until they got some more characterisation. Especially for the Clint/Coulson pairing, which seems to be pretty much gone now. I also find it a bit pointless, but I don't think it's due to sexism in this case.
