I haven't seen these movies, but I looked at this picture and thought this was Sam Rockwell for some reason. (I had to look it up when I realised I wasn't sure. It's Charlie Day.)

Same! Except that Newt is my number one fave, so... boy, this *hurt* me. The moments where he comes through a little and you see moments of his real self, when he comes straight in as being obviously wrong (the moment he introduced himself as Dr. Newton Geiszler I knew there was a Problem with my boy)... Charlie Day does such an incredible job with it but I saw it when it opened and I'm still having serious anxiety.

I really need PR3 to get made so that he can win control of his mind back and work side by side with Hermann to beat the anteverse one more time... Watching this happen to a character I identified so strongly with when I first saw Pacific Rim is painful.

...what happened with Mako. I mean, really?! Also, where the hell were Herc and Raleigh? It's like they never existed.

That aside, I did really enjoy the film (go Hermann!).
