To be fair, I think phones pick up some background noises that most people wouldn't hear, but someone with superhearing could conceivably hear. But, yeah, there are a lot of things that a phone wouldn't pick up that superhearing seems to.

Though, you know, since physics, chemistry, biology, etc. generally work differently on those worlds, maybe phones do too.
