I definitely get where you're coming from, but there are some secrets that are really just like... the general reaction that most people are supposed to have to something? Not just uncontroversial, but obvious. And it's hard for me to take those ones seriously sometimes.

If OP isn't really actively involved in fandom, they might not know what is a general fandom reaction and what isn't. What's obvious to you might not be obvious to OP.
