Pokemon!

I got Moon as a gift a while back and realised I had a backlog of Pokemon games to finish first (Black, HeartGold, and Y). Just finished Black and loaded up HeartGold, wondered why I'd stopped only 2 Gym badges in then remembered that the next Gym is Whitney and her demonic Miltank. :(

Any Pokemon fans here? Favourite game? Favourite Pokemon/s? (Haunter for me!) Should I be excited about working towards the current gen games or have they gone downhill? Any fellow Shiny collectors?

I'm a pokémon fan! Actually I just started another play through of Heart Gold (which is def my favourite, Gold was my first Pokémon game and it's great to play again with better graphics and ur mon following behind you everywhere). Also, I found that Whitney's Miltank in HGSS isn't so bad since it doesn't know rollout any more.

But I've also really enjoyed Ultra Sun! It's such a cool change from other Pokémon games with the Island Challenges, and I love dressing my trainer all up in pink. My current team in that is all ghost :D Mimikyu, Aegislash, Jellicent, Decidueye, and my two faves Sableye and Chandelure. I really think the current games are great and I hope you enjoy Moon, but I've heard some people say it's to easy?? But if you find it too easy, you can turn off the Exp Share and spend time grinding your team up instead.

Huzzah! I do like HG so far, and it's nice to hear that about Rollout. I remember playing Crystal with my brother when we were kids, and we spent weeks grinding our teeth over that damn Miltank.

That sounds pretty awesome. Thumbs up for Chandelure, was part of my final team in Black and it worked wonders. I'll probably end up stupidly losing my Exp Share like I did in Diamond so no worries there, lol. It looks so pretty and I can't wait to play it properly. <3

AYRT, you won't lose your experience share. From XY onwards, they changed it so it's now a key item and when it's turned on your entire team gains experience both from battles and from catching pokémon. So even if you only use one poke to beat a gym leader, the rest of your team also gains exp from it. You basically never have to grind if you don't want to.

Ah, that sounds nice. I was kicking myself for days after losing it and grinding to evolve to fill up the Pokedex is a huge pain now.

I love Pokemon. My favorite may be Mienshao, though I don't have a great reason per se. I'm also fond of Mimikyu. I loved Sun and Ultra Sun and I honestly don't think the series has gone downhill.

They made it easier to catch Shinies but I still like to try it. I got a shiny Eevee and a shiny Caterpie though chaining in Sun but I haven't evolved either yet. I also have a shiny Nuzleaf that I caught randomly and a shiny Mienfoo I got through breeding.

Mimikyu looks adorable and I need one in my life. And yeah, I did read that the Shiny chances were improved, which is great because all of mine are in Diamond and they've been a nightmare to get. :( Almost filled up a box though! Shiny Eevee sounds like it'd be cool to have, did you evolve it?

I haven't evolved it yet. I can't decide which evolution to pick.
