Go to AO3. Go to your fandom of choice. Go to the Sort/Filter menu on the right. Check the box for your Woobie of choice under Character. Check 'Hurt/Comfort' and 'Angst' under Additional Tags. Sort and Filter, then Sort by kudos. You should be in woobie heaven.

Once you find a couple fics that scratch your itch, make note of recurring tags like "Woobie!Needs a Hug" and search for that tag too.

I think going straight to those "needs a hug" tags is a good start. Those tend to be OOC.

Same honestly. Stuff written perfectly in-character is the best for me, but sometimes I just need that woobie.

Honestly I just googled "character X hurt/comfort after rape" the other day and found a whole thread reccing exactly what I was looking for. Most of the fics were appalling but they sure scratched my itch.
