124. WOW IS THAT A NON-WANKY RUNAWAYS SECRET? I'M SHOCKED. *APPLAUDS*

That said, if Xavin's male, how will she have gender issues? And idk, after Joss's arc won't it be kind of weird for Xavin to go "Oh remember how I questioned my gender identity for like a million issues and eventually decided I'm female? Well I'm not"? I could accept Xavin turning male - not very happily at all, but I could - just not this early after she decided she's female. Plus, I think that would kind of cheapen her whole internal struggle if in the end she goes back to what she originally was. D|

140. Idk if you're referring to the fandom as a whole or what, but I can tell you that for me, at least, the hatred of Lillie had nothing to do with the arc she was in. She was badly written and a very flat character - uhh, let's see, so she's the happy energetic type but scared of leaving her current life... okay, and? She has no 'meat', nothing to make her interesting. And it's not like you could just ignore her like the rest of the crappy characters Whedon made up - she had a huge role in the arc, and also caused Victor to be so OOCly that he was unrecognizable. Not to mention that their relationship was horribly put together. I actually think she had potential to be really cool, had she been written by someone with actual skill. But no such luck.

I actually think Joss handled Xavin somewhat better than BKV did. Nico and Victor were off, but Xavin seemed good to me.

I dunno - while I think his characterization of Xavin was one of the few things in line with the rest of the series, the sudden revelation that she's female came out of absolutely nowhere, and I hated that scene as a whole because his characterization of Karolina was awful and that affected the Karolina/Xavin relationship as well. Their interaction, for the most part, was the comic book equivalent of chalk on board. Actually, that goes for the whole arc, but yeah.
