I didn't feel it was the work of genius people had made it out to be. I also had a hard time dealing with the low-budget-ness, and this is coming from someone who liked classic Who and Blakes 7, despite getting into them long after they started looking silly (which was probably immediately, actually).

I think my viewing suffered from having heard people quote the movie so much. A lot of those funny bits are kind of understated in the movie and some of the humor comes from the lol wut? of the situation.
