On topic. What does Martha's tacked on, oh she has a fiance now ending have to do with Rose's? If you want to look at it another way, at least the PTB gave Rose's ending a little thought instead of having Martha happy way off screen.
Sheesh, I'm beginning to think Rosefen and Doctor/Rose shippers are the Harry/Ginny and OBHWF fans of DW fandom. Everything they want is canon, yet they're not happy unless the whole fandom agrees with them.
For the record, I don't care about Rose's happiness. She wore me out with her whining -- no one's going to convince me otherwise that she was having a perfectly human response -- during the last two episodes of series 4.

And you know, I don't really think Martha had what I'd call a happy ending. She worshipped the ground the Doctor walked on, and meanwhile he never stopped whining about Rose, Rose, how perfect Rose was. Even when she saved him and the rest of the world, he didn't really acknowledge how awesome she was. So she left and she found another guy and settled for him. Do I think she's over the Doctor? No. Do I think she loves her fiancé? Probably, but he's still her second choice.
