I didn't like how she dealt with the ALTOR issue. It was money and all, but I kinda feel bad for

rubysp720. Just... if I made a mistake like that, I wouldn't want someone to blow it into a much bigger proportion and treat me like a criminal. :( She was already taking care of it before

Did you read all the posts concerning that issue?

The reason that

rubysp720 got in trouble because she did some pretty suspect things that the actual doujinshi artist had to address to comm (with some help) about why she got pissed about her. She left out crucial information that proved that the doujinshi wouldn't cost that much money for one and that

rubysp720 lied saying she was giving it to college friends. That's pretty suspect right there. You have to understand that doujinshi artist are extremely sensitive about people making such a big profit off their stuff with fans when it's not actually that expensive.

And she only can't sell anything in that time being, it's not she's banned from the place.

That's the way the doujin business works. If you get ripped off, you deserve it.

That's why I shop around~♥. Plus I don't buy doujinshi that's more than $10 unless it's an anthology. They do go up in value as soon as they leave whatever comic event they came from but I'm not paying more than that 10 bucks.

Oh please, don't try to defend her. She got caught by the actual doujishi artist and got her selling rights on the comm taken away until further notice.

I don't think anon was defending her. What she did is done by... almost everyone, and it's not even half as bad as those I've seen. People are just too BAAAW over this particular issue. Besides, if she's going to get her selling rights on the comm taken away, then that should be done to the other 38247328974 people who add a couple (or a lot) of dollars on their doujinshi for self profit.

Adding a couple of dollars is expected for the service but jacking up the price by several folds is clearly a poor attempt of a scam (which people fell for anyway... oh, fandumb, fandumb...)

Thing is, you can't prove most of them. Sometimes the anons sell it at the piece that they themselves brought it (usually at cons where they jack up the price like WAO or legit doujinshi stores that charge more than it would cost at an the event, that's why I put a limit on how much I'm willing to spend on a doujinshi). At least, there are anons who don't charge that much extra for doujinshis.

She got caught by the artist herself and I don't feel sorry for her.

If other doujinshi artists were able to stop people from selling their doujin at jacked off prices, I'm sure they would. Some artists even question people who buy more than 3 copies of the same doujinshi at events sometimes, because they fear that their doujin will get onto auctions. They can't help it if people who already bought their books sell them off at high prices after that.

Ruby tried to sell the doujinshi even before she got the books or paid herself. I think it's in every right of the artist to cancel her order and make a statement about the incident.

Please what the mod do is just small cases... some other people may even blow the things bigger... if not for the mod... do you think that this thing can settle so easily...

and it's not like the author of Altor didn't sell it overseas...

rubysp720 from coming back with a brand new name and proxy or joining different fandoms and selling other artists' work. ;)

it's okay. according to smea_chan, we just have to report it to them ASAP. idk how that would help at all but that's what she says. ;)
