Lillymon was my favorite too and I still have the little action figure of her that my best friend gave me for my birthday. I kinda like Rosemon's design, but her boobs bouncing around in Tri were unnecessary.

Her bouncing boobs were the most ridiculous thing lmao, and the entirety of Tri was ridiculous enough already. The teenagers are definitely not especially sexual (and it would honestly be somewhat horrifying if they were), but it seemed like they felt like they HAD to attract the boob crowd with THIS series for some reason so there's bad evolution animation (dat egg tho) for everyone (go in small, come out big, who needs armour plates to come and get attached and all that fancy shit we could do 20 years ago) and then suddenly ~~~sexy~~~ boob bounce for 3 whole seconds from different angles.

I was obsessed with Digimon Adventure and 02 when I was a kid, but everything I hear about Tri makes me glad I decided to skip it.

I don't HATE Rosemon, but I agree she's a step down from Lillymon, who is the best forever and ever.

I'm not wild about that design, but I like it more than Togemon. Togemon is so dumb looking. But it's one of the very original Digimon, so I guess it can't be helped.

Anyway, Tri was really baffling to me. It marketed itself and even sort of presented itself as a more mature take on a nostalgic series, which had so much potential. To some extent, it really had an atmosphere that conveyed that, too, sort of in the art direction and pacing. It was sprinkled with really emotive moments - like when Tai reunites with Agumon, or the scene where TK is hiding that Patamon is going feral, and such. Some interesting self-reflection here and there. But then it just flat out blows it by focusing on some obnoxious new girl who is like the worst anime trope ever, instead of fleshing out the cast we love. Anytime things start to get serious and worrisome, things are pretty much resolved right away and the focus is again redirected to this main plot I don't care about.

But I never finished it, so maybe it got better. idk. I just wanted Kari and TK to get together. Or Tai and Matt because fuck you Sora

It's gonna end in May and I have no idea how they can wrap it up in any way that's satisying. I was so excited about Tri when it was first announced and I genuinely liked the first few movies. I even liked Meiko, but it bugs me how we still don't know what the fuck happened to the 02 kids and how nobody seems to care about them. Plus, Sora's arc (compared to everyone else's) was terrible and involved Gennai or whoever the hell he really is molesting her, which was all levels of wrong.

I didn't like her at all (I stopped watching last February so can't say if she got better) but I did like her Digimon. Because I like cats and that Digimon was adorable.

I do remember stopping around the time Sora got molested. As if Sora's character couldn't get screwed over enough, now we've taken that literally.

Not gonna lie though, I squealed when the Digimon Emperor appeared with an amazingly hot new outfit (I crushed on Ken hard as a kid.) Too bad it's not really him and the Zero Two Kids are still MIA. :/

I crushed on Ken too! He's still my favorite of the 02 kids. And I was also really excited when he appeared in the movie, but got really disappointed when it turned out to not be him.

I had tears in my eyes when the first movie played "Butterfly" for the first time.. and I was so glad that I liked Meiko in the beginning and then she got more and more focus and... I started really disliking her? My childhood self was really pissed that her favorite characters had to take a backseat to this new one and while I don't mind the 02 kids being gone (never warmed up to them), it does bother me that no one in universe seems to care.

I didn't even watch the last one, cause Kari was one of my absolute childhood favorites and I was already sceptical about her sharing her "movie" with fucking Meiko... and the spoilers confirmed all my fears.

Not even excited for the finale anymore. :(

Sadly, I feel it hasn't gotten better. Now, I loved it at the start. The first three movies (especially movie three) were fantastic and explored the characters well (personally for me anyway.) Then Movie 4 came and it was bleh. Then Movie 5 came and it was even more bleh and incomprehensible (Poor Kairi, her Tri character arc suuuuucked.)

I don't have hopes for Movie 6, but maybe it'll change my mind? Because I really do enjoy it, just the last two films were massive disappointments.

wtf have I been missing? This sounds hella dramatic! Granted, the last time I watched Digimon was over 15 years ago (or at least 11) and that was for its first season + the movie...jeez.

Long story short, in the third (I think it's the third) Digimon Tri movie, the digimon are infected and Patamon is one of the first ones to start showing signs of infection. It was pretty devastating and I'm not even ashamed to admit that the movie had me bawling near the end.
