I watched like 20 minutes of that movie on Netflix. Did not have enough alcohol, lmao.

Why is anime so amazing, but live-action Japanese cinema often just so cringey? I get that some things cartoon just don't translate well in "real life", but it's like, even the directing choices are baffling horrible. The plotting, the build-up, the introductions... did no one in production watch this film and go "wait guys, NO!"
