I recall thinking it was much more lucid and plausible than a lot of tinhatter stuff but not 100% confirmed by any means

The only thing I recall reading about this was how one of them visited the other (or happened to be in the same city at the same time) and there were pictures of them wearing the same sweater in different occasions (implying that one of them was borrowing the other's sweater.)

I don't think this confirms anything, but considering that both of them are gay it's a hell of a lot more plausible than other rumoured relationships.
