If you wanted discussions about Greek mythology, you probably shouldn't have joined the fandom for a movie that call all the gods by their Greek names, but their main character by his roman one.

Hercules = Son of Jupiter
Heracles = Son of Zeus
Neither are Hera's son. She spent his entire life trying to kill him for being one of Zeus' bastards.

Um... it's a comedy? Made by Disney? It's a loose interpretation, but it's quite enjoyable.

I like the movie, but I wouldn't call it a loose interpretation, because it's got nothing of the original story at all. They've taken some of the Greek names and one of the roman names and made up a story of their own.

Then they shouldn't make movies about stories with bastard children and unhappy marriages, should they?

I'm still pissed at them for what they did to the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Why not choose a story that's actually happy instead of choosing a terribly tragic, but classic one and turning it happy?
