179. I pretend everyone who writes sibling incest fic doesn't actually have siblings. It's the only way I can sleep at night. If I actually think about it (and what fandom would assume from pictures from my childhood), I'll never stop shuddering.

I read incest fic and have siblings. The thing is, I don't have sexual feelings towards my siblings. In fact, it's not the fact that two characters are siblings that makes me want to ship it, but the closeness of the relationship, which (IN FANDOM) is a turn-on for me. I don't ship real people, because that squicks me out.

... Dude. That's a little bit like assuming that because a person ships two characters that are best friends, they're automatically lusting after their best friend. Or that student/teacher shippers want to get in one of their teacher's pants. Or those who like enemyslash would actually go near someone they hate with a ten foot pole. This gets said a little overmuch sometimes, but fiction =/= reality- and what people enjoy in fiction does not always parallel what they like in real life. (If so, I'd be searching out a crazy murderous immature psychopath. Y hello, Belphegor. XD)
