135. Glanced at the links provided a few comment above me, and rolled my eyes HARD.

I wonder...before people in your fandom accuse each other of tracing, do they attempt to re-size the photo or drawing so they match, and then lay them overtop each other in Photoshop? Because that would be the really obvious way to tell if they are ACTUALLY TRACES. Because if they were ACTUAL TRACES, the lines would match up.

Those look HIGHLY unlikely to be traces to me.

Asking because, well, people are FUCKING STUPID. I'm in House fandom, and a while back a popular fanartist was accused of tracing screencaps. The people accusing her did just what seems to be happening up there - i.e. they put the caps beside the drawings, and pronounced them traces.

Guess what? Your eyes CAN and frequently DO fool you. That's what your eyes are designed to do. If our eyes DIDN'T do that, our vision wouldn't work.

And if you took this fanartist's work and laid it overtop the caps, they were WAY OFF. But people were insisting, based on visual inspection alone, that they were, "exact matches!"

Think about it.

She's not just a fanartist, she's a published manga artist who has been doing this for many of her books. Those examples provided are just 2 of many on the site that not only puts the pictures side by side but for many, overlap and prove that yes, the pose (and many times clothing) are an exact match. Looking at them it's ridiculous to think of how she went on for so long doing this.
