I am a rape victim also, and by comparing a Phantom of the Opera sequel to the experience of rape you are not only belittling your own experience, but also the experience of every other woman who is raped. Statistics show that 1 out of every 6 women are rape victims, and only 40% report their rapes. If the PotO sequel makes you afraid to leave your home, gives you nightmares that make you wake up screaming, and make it difficult to form intimate relationships, then you should probably seek help. Otherwise, please think of a different analogy.
