I'm debating getting the Schick Quattro For Women Trimstyle Razor & Bikini Trimmer for trimming by nethers. (Cis lady.)

The thing is, I don't want to shave it to the skin, I just want to cut my hair down a little since it's really sweaty around here and I want to make it a little easier to keep clean.

Has anyone used one of these? Or do you have anything you could recommend for a trim & not shaving all the way down? I've debated scissors but I am highly uncomfortable with putting scissors near my nethers. If I can do this in the shower, that would be preferred.

The subject of this thread isn't what the title made me think it would be. Anyway, I use scissors to trim my pubes. I've had no problems. Especially for you, since you don't want to cut too low, I think you would be fine with scissors.

Yeah, I guess my concern is that I'm overweight? A little bit? But enough that I have some trouble seeing my nethers, and I'm just afraid of stabbing.

I've used scissors, you just have to basically lift the hair up and trim, but it's awkward and not even slender people can really see between their legs that well, so - yeah. Go with an electric trimmer.

I bought a pair of children's scissors specifically for this. They're short and thick with rounded tips, so they're easier to control and almost impossible to stab anything with them.

I'm nowhere near flexible enough to see what I'm doing, so I guide the scissors by touch. Pinch a few hairs with one hand, slide the slightly open scissors between the fingers and the skin, close slowly to make sure I didn't accidentally catch skin with the scissors.

I got a cheap beard trimmer (actual beard, not euphemism beard) from the dollar store, keep everything to a buzz-cut, works fine, cost me about ten bucks, I think. It even has a little attachment so you can make it a certain length if you want, but I just go for about an eighth of an inch of stubble. Perfectly comfortable.

Dunno about ones you use in the shower- probably they were too expensive for me to consider.

I use a pair of hair shears for that. Be very careful, though. Less a stabbing issue than an accidentally closing thge scissors on your skin issue (which can happen when you're lifting the hair up to cut it).

It's nice because you can use it in the shower, and I like the regular razor it comes with too. I think it was only about $15 or $20, but of course the razor refills is where they get you with price.
