I don't get this weird sort of guilt-tripping people into doing stuff ~for the sake of the community~. The community is small. It is what it is. It's not like the unpopular opinion threads generate tons of discussion, either.

IA. Which is why I sometimes skim peoples' comments, unpopular opinions and "fandom secrets I'm too lazy to post" threads and make secrets out of them. It'd be nice if people did that on their own, but eh, it's fine. I've got the time and enjoy contributing to the community.

Why? If you posted it online in the first place, that means that you are okay with people seeing it and commenting it, so what difference does it make if someone recycles it into a secret?

It's not as if they are revealing your deepest, darkest secrets that nobody ever knew, or as if someone is going to get credit and prestige from plagiarizing your original post.
