Oh neat, hope you get your watermeleon fix if that's your thing! I'm in the upper midwest so it's a little longer for us.

I took a lot of fruit including watermelon spears over to someone's house to share w/ a bunch of my friends just yesterday.

Are they? I’m in southern California and I’d guess it’s too early and that most of what’s available in stores is from Mexico or something, since even small-fruited kinds take 2 1/2 months to harvest from seed and need soil temps in the 70s, minimum. Available=/=in season. /gardener pedantry.
