I've seen people take money for fic, although I don't think it's quite as lucrative as fanart commissions.

I've had one person approach me for a fic commission, and although it was very flattering of them, I'm the kind of person who has to be in a certain mood to write fic and it has to be what I want to write. I have a feeling that if I did try to write for money, I'd just get super blocked and be unable to finish the job.
