I use F1 drivers and swap @ for a, ! for I, 1 for l, and 3 for e in their names. Works great.

I use fandom pairing names with various numbers and symbols.

Character names from old non-English science fiction books in my case. *g*

Right now I'm using a pairing, and I just keep raising the number at the end whenever it expires. My rule is when I get to 99, I have to come up with a new one. It takes a while :)

Oh my god I didn't think of that. I've used ship portmanteaus so far, but every 90 days it gets harder to think how to mix it up. Thanks for the tip

Picking numbers to stand in for some letters (3 for E) and symbols (@ for a) also helps.

I already have to do that, there's (no joke) about nine rules I have to adhere to when making passwords. @_@

(Anonymous) 2018-05-13 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
My job does that too, but at least we don't have to change them as often as some of you!

(Anonymous) 2018-05-12 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I use homestuck characters and song lyrics! But it's getting harder to think of some, maybe I'll try pokémon next :0

I use favorite fandom quotes, by first letter, that makes a random looking password, and then a number. Like:
“If the apocalypse comes...beep me!”
So, itacbp!1, then itacbm!2, etc, etc.

(Anonymous) 2018-05-12 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Gah, can't type on my phone. But you get the idea.

(Anonymous) 2018-05-13 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
I do something similar with lines of poetry, and sometimes when I change them I add on the abbreviation for the next or previous line

(Anonymous) 2018-05-13 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
The initials of CD cover titles I like, year the music came out, and band name initials (if necessary).

Also shippy stuff for old TV series.

And I'm jealous you get 90 days with your password(s), I have to change all of mine every 30 days and I have a buttload of programs and sites which use passwords.

THIS IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA THO damn
