there used to be a cartoon in the 60s called the mighty heroes, which was a superhero spoof way before the Tick or the Venture Bros. with all the superhero movies, there needs to be a spoof superhero movie that's actually funny, not the Friedberg Seltzer bullshit. (Anyway if they can make a Peabody and Sherman movie, they can make a movie out of any cartoon.) The one snag was all their cartoons had a basic pattern. First half=they get in eachother's way and generally fuck things up. Second half-they straighten things out and work together as a team. This works fine for a cartoon short but would be really hard to pad out to a whole movie.
the team consisted of the following characters. I have included in parentheses my ideas for what actors I'd like.

Strongman=basically Superman except more of a dimwit and had a hillbilly accent, basically who you'd get even if you combined Supes with Little Abner
Ropeman=could turn into rope and tie up bad guys or lasso stuff he needed. Tall skinny guy with big chin. Erudite, sometimes sounded British. Tended to get tangled up.( Hugh Laurie, obviously besides I think he needs to get back into comedy)
Tornadoman=Short squat weather reporter, could turn into a tornado. (Danny Devito)
Diaperman= Hyperintelligent baby, raspy voice. The smartest character (street smart rather than book smart like Ropeman, the brains of the outfit) threw his baby bottle at bad guys. Could fly. If they had made the cartoon later he'd probably throw the contents of his diaper at bad guys.
Cuckooman=useless but amusingly goofy. tended to fuck up the mission most often. Fell out of windows a lot, could only sort of fly by flapping his arms really really fast. Had a whole bird theme going. Very nerdy. (Greg Proops would work in this role if you allowed him to be more of a smart ass.)

This is really well put-together! THank you for also introducing me to the Might Heroes, which I had never heard of before, but just found out it has Ralph Bakshi's all over it!
