I assume that it's mostly because of the conservative flap. But there is also some weirdness between FOX and ABC due to American Idol (a lot of industry people expected FOX to only mothball American Idol for a couple of years and then revive it, but ABC snapped it up) and this might have something to do with it. Network competition can be very odd - especially since the network production companies also produce shows on other networks.
