Re: I know there are a couple of Disney World fans here...

I just went in January and I've been a ton of times in the past.

Honestly, any of the hotels that are owned by Disney will have fairly convenient shuttle buses. The only thing that really spikes the prices is the quality of the hotel and if you want to be walking distance. If you're walking distance to Magic Kingdom/Epcot, those are the "Deluxe" resorts and will cost you a lot. Yes, it was nice, but worth the extra money? That'll you'll have to decide. It was nice when we were little because it was easier to go back for naps/afternoon pool time. As an adult, we literally caught one of the earliest shuttles to the parks and took some of the latest ones back so it didn't matter at all. I rarely waited more than 10 minutes for a shuttle.

The last two times I went, we stayed at Coronado Springs, so it's only shuttle buses and had no problem getting to the parks. It wasn't more than a 10/15 minute bus ride, if that.

Feel free to ask more questions! (I'll see what I can dig up on the website for better guidance for you)

Thanks! We would probably go to a slightly cheaper one. May wait a bit longer so my nephew won't need naps and such.

I want to go on a vacation next year. Either to Disney World with my nephew or to DC again with my sister.

I really love Disney and I think the biggest factor for you will be budget too. DC will be considerably cheaper with your sister. I did Disney in January this year and it cost about $1000/person, whereas I did DC in April this year and it was about $400/person for the same amount of time.

If your nephew isn't in school yet, take him on a week where it's not a school break and you'll do much better there.
