I hear ya, OP. I find it hard to connect with other fans of X thing on Tumblr or Twitter. DW is pretty dead. It makes me sad.

It makes me super sad. I'm doing my best trying to keep my communities alive, but posting content and not getting any reaction gets very frustrating.
