You mean Owen/Claire? It felt like a slightly dated attempt at a romantic pairing to me... very 80s stereotype. Think Crocodile Dundee, you know? I expect it in older movies, but it felt more jarring in a modern one because the male/female stereotypes didn't feel modern or particularly nuanced.

And honestly, they both seemed kind of annoying.

It baffles me how many of these 'Owen/Claire was no good!!' secrets there have been. Is this all one person using a platform they can't be directly contradicted on to satisfy some ancient fandom argument? I don't understand how people came out of this movie having any opinion on the lead actors what with all the freaking dinosaurs to look at-- much less an overwhelmingly negative opinion that stayed with them YEARS after Jurassic World came out. I know there's a sequel on the way, but this phenomenon isn't new. It's just weird.
