... where the fuck do you live that internet costs $85 a month? I live in a ciry with a notoriously high cost of living and mine doesn't even cost half that.

NAYRT

Mine just went up to $79/month and that's the lowest level of internet Bell offers. I'm just outside the GTA.

anywhere that one network has a local monopoly is gonna have high rates, that's about what I pay too, and when I investigated, there was only one company with the infrastructure in my area

I want to know what the fuck OP is eating that one week of groceries is only $30

30$ for a full week of groceries is what threw me too. That's incredibly cheap food. Especially if we're counting things like drinks, toilet paper, etc in the 'groceries' section. I just kind of assumed I'd misread what they meant.

That's about what my internet is. (Mine is $125 for internet and cable together. I'm not sure the exact split, but it's about 80/45.)

I use mobile broadband instead of wireless because it's cheaper. $30 Australian a month. It's slow and it keeps dropping out, but it's affordable! I have free-to-air TV and that's it.

Also I walk uphill in the snow to school, both ways. Or would if I wasn't on a disability pension.

Cable here in my teeny town (two providers, if that, they're both fairly crappy) is almost 80 a month. (Middle of nowhere, Missouri)
