What is an Otter Pop? Is it made out of Otters?

An Otter Pop is a plastic tube full of flavored water that you toss into the freezer so that it turns into flavored ice, and then you eat it

But it's not just a brand name, I feel like it's been genericized? I would definitely call it an Otter Pop regardless of the actual brand

I wonder if that's a (presumably?) US thing? In Canada I've only ever seen the Mr. Freeze brand or occasionally generic store brand freezies.

Frozen dyed flavored sugar water—or possibly corn-syrup water—in a plastic pouch. They’re sold unfrozen in a big box and come in a bunch of not-really-fruit flavors. Kids love them and they’re disgusting.

I love them! Mostly the cream soda flavoured ones and the grape ones, but sometimes you just need delicious frozen sugar water!
