I try to get them out of my system when I'm alone, like watching sad movies if I'm going to have a cry at some point. I find once I have the emotion I usually feel some relief from the building up feeling. If I need to yell into my pillow or have an ugly cry, I might feel silly doing it, but at least it's not directed at people.

I also think tracking when I'm likely to be weird and hormonal has helped. I can even predict better now when my cycle is off because I really try to think if I'm feeling off if there's a cause or it's just come on by itself. It's been good for the anxiety I usually get because I can tell myself it's just PMS related and I'll probably feel better in a few days.
