I track my moods as well as my period so I'm often relieved that hey, I'm not actually depressed, it's just hormones.

I try to be nice to myself, take a nice shower, wash my hair, go to bed early with a good book. I call trusted loved ones and talk with my friends about non-serious subjects. I steer clear from news stories and the awfulness of the internet and watch some silly tv or movies instead. If I'm going to be emotional it will be because of fiction, not rl injustices!

I hope you'll find your own way of dealing with it, you're not alone!
