It's a double standard to expect Americans to learn as much about every country their media gets exported to as the people in those countries learn about America from American media, when people in those countries aren't bothering to learn as much about each other.

If you are willing to become an expert on the culture, history, politics, and current events of every society that imports American media or hears about the US on the news all the time, then maybe we can talk about how much Americans are obligated to learn about what basically amounts to EVERY OTHER COUNTRY ON EARTH EXCEPT NORTH KOREA WHICH THEY SHOULD LEARN ABOUT ANYAY.
