Re: Here are the new network shows for 2018-19:
FBI: Boy, they didn't even try with that title. Sorry, slow song version of a happy song isn't going to make it amazing.
The Cool Kids: Not bad looking.
Manifest: Nothing will be answered in season one and it will be canceled. That music at the end sound familiar.
A Million Little Things: OMG I LOVE ALL THOSE PEOPLE.
Re: Here are the new network shows for 2018-19:
(Anonymous) 2018-05-19 01:40 am (UTC)(link)Manifest was intriguing, but I think you're probably right.
A Million Little Things, yeah, hell of a cast.
FBI, not even a little bit.
The Cool Kids, I like all the people, but some of those jokes felt flat.
Magnum P.I. - holy crap they spent a lot of money on stunts
Happy Together - the trailer was funny
Whiskey Cavalier (in the midseason post below) - the trailer is so goddamned ridiculous, you have to watch it.

Re: Here are the new network shows for 2018-19:
(Anonymous) 2018-05-19 01:45 am (UTC)(link)Kind of scary, isn't it? Though I do miss Eldin (Robert Pastorelli) and Phil (Pat Corley) and I don't know where Jim Dial (Charles Kimbrough) is.

They say recurring guest, not a regular.
Re: Here are the new network shows for 2018-19:
(& yes I know not all of that is ABC but then they shopped it around and no one else bought it either so fuck all of them)
Re: Here are the new network shows for 2018-19:
(Anonymous) 2018-05-19 02:00 am (UTC)(link)I was going to write that ABC only picked up a couple of new dramas (The Rookie and A Million Little Things), but they picked up like four more for midseason (The Fix, Grand Hotel, Take Two, and Whiskey Cavalier) and one them is so patently ridiculous, I can't defend the choice at all (Whiskey Cavalier, the trailer link is in a post further down).

Re: Here are the new network shows for 2018-19:
(Anonymous) 2018-05-19 03:03 am (UTC)(link)None of those really spoke to me. I'll check out Happy Together because I liked the trailer, Manifest because the concept is interesting (but, if it's anything like previous experiences, it will quickly devolve), A Million Little Things because of the cast (though if the actual show is as depressing as the trailer, I probably won't watch beyond the pilot), maybe The Cool Kids, and I have to see how Murphy Brown is going to go.

(Anonymous) 2018-05-19 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)Re: Here are the new network shows for 2018-19:
(Anonymous) 2018-05-19 05:17 am (UTC)(link)- Manifest looked good but I'm 100% sure it's just the trailer and the actual show is going to suck after, like, the first episode because those kinds of shows always seem to
- The Fix could be watchable just for Robin Tunney. She's so good, isn't she?
- Abby's is EASILY the show that I'm most excited for, everything about it sounds amazing. Neil Flynn and Natalie Morales! Mike Schur! multi-cam with a live audience! set in an illegal outdoor bar! it sounds just amazing
- I will watch at least 1-2 episodes of any show described as "Gender-flipped Blacklist". don't need any other information.
- Whiskey Cavalier is SO fucking stupid and ridiculous and I kind of love it. I hope it maintains that over-the-topness. Also, Lauren Cohan good.
(I just combined all the shows into one post)
Re: Here are the new network shows for 2018-19:
(Anonymous) 2018-05-19 06:38 am (UTC)(link)-Charmed doesn't do it for me. I was only a casual viewer of the original, except for the episodes with Chris.
-Probably right about Manifest, still going to watch that first episode at least.
-Robin Tunney is a good reason.
-Mike Schur's humor is not for me, but I hope you like the show.
-It has Jennifer Carpenter as the CIA traitor that Morris Chestnut's FBI agent enlists to help him.
-Whiskey Cavalier is so stupid, isn't it?
Plus, midseason shows:
(Anonymous) 2018-05-19 01:00 am (UTC)(link)The Fix – somewhat based on Marcia Clark - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkJhX-ccM5k
Proven Innocent – a wrongfully convicted woman becomes a lawyer who tries to prove the innocence of others who have been wrongfully convicted - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3rpbxfJxec
Roswell, New Mexico – reboot of Roswell, aged up
The Passage – based on the book by Justin Cronin (sort-of) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rJ64J-gSbY
Abby’s – an unlicensed backyard bar
The Enemy Within – gender-flipped Blacklist
The Village – A group of apartment neighbors in Brooklyn form a family
The InBetween – pretty much like Medium
Take Two - gender-flipped Castle
Schooled – The Goldbergs spin-off, set in the 90s
Whiskey Cavalier – team of spies ridiculously led by a CIA agent and an FBI agent - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhYQU5eWdCo
Grand Hotel – based on Spain’s Gran Hotel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsSMv0EcX04
The Red Line – in Chicago, a white police officer shoots a black doctor
In The Dark – blind witness to murder is not taken seriously, so she decides to solve it herself with her dog
Fam – a disaster of person moves in with her sister and her fiance
The Code – the military’s brightest minds, inside the courtroom and out – where each attorney is trained as a prosecutor, a defense lawyer, an investigator – and a Marine

Re: Plus, midseason shows:
(Anonymous) 2018-05-19 02:52 am (UTC)(link)The Code seems like kind of a mess - they recast two main roles - and I really couldn't tell exactly what they were going for. Here's more about it: http://deadline.com/2018/05/the-code-cbs-drama-picked-up-series-cbs-major-roles-recast-dave-annable-mira-sorvino-1202388696/
The Fix might be something up your alley, it's got Robin Tunney going after an OJ-like guy.
