He kinda looks like Philip Quast with that look, had Crowe's Javert looks like that. (except Philip has the voice of voices and is one of my favorite Javerts, along with the original Broadway Javert, Terrence Mann and Patrick Rocca from the 1991 Paris revival)

Yeah, he does, which is why I thought it would have been so much better if they went with that look. I had some other issues with the movie, but stripping Javert of his sideburns, his hair and his greatcoat, combined with Crowe's singing...I was just really disappointed.

Also, yes, Philip Quast's voice is a gift to humanity. Definitely one of the best Javerts ever.

Or maybe he did have the greatcoat? I dunno, I cannot remember, watching that movie more than once would have been traumatic xD
