Wow. Well, read the reviews first and if you go, be sure to plan some other cool things in case it's a huge disappointment. I have no idea what it's like, but I'm automatically suspicious of "museums" that sound like an obvious money grab.

It has amazing reviews. It also has some other exhibits I am interest in (horror, indie gamers, and Nirvana).

Decided to look it up, look how cool those buildings look.

Also, I planned an entire 10 day vacation that started with "I need to see The Lion King on Broadway." Honestly, this museum looks interesting to me. I've never been to Seattle so maybe that can be my next trip.

Hey, if you love that stuff, go for it. Look, when I was in college, when the Star Wars exhibit came to the Toledo Museum and there was a LACE exhibit our director wanted us to see, you can BET YOUR ASS, I paid the extra dime to see the Star Wars exhibit.

It was worth every PENNY. Those costumes are AMAZING. (I was the ONLY one who did it and these were fashion design students and to this day I don't understand. They thought I was crazy and I thought THEY were crazy. You don't want to see the LIGHTS in Queen Amidala's red dress or the antique Dutch Lace in Princess Leia's Bespin outfit? Really?)

There is also a comic museum in SF. I think that one is free-ish? It's near the Modern Art Museum and Yerba Buena in SOMA.

I feel life is too short not to do and see the things you really want to do and see. Go for it.

Haven't seen that exhibit (yet - I definitely want to go too), but I love that museum! Always worth going there, and Seattle is a fantastic place to visit anyway.

I recently got back from the best five day vacation in New York that I 100% decided to go on for a similar reason (seeing the David Bowie Is exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum). So a museum visit seems like a great thing to plan a vacation around to me!
