If anything I consider comedy and horror to be the hardest things to write in part because of their subjective nature, but also because you've got to be good at an assortment of different techniques to make them effective.

Hm, it may be a case of people just preferring more light-hearted stories then? And I do think those are easier to write, maybe a bit more fun as well? Idk.

I still think that horror is a hard genre to write, but it could be a case of people just wanting some light-hearted fun.
I know I've read maybe one or two horror-fics ever, and I liked both, but yeah it's not something you see much.
