I love reading horror and I don't find writing it for fandom to be all that hard for me. I've written a few one-shot horror stories and one long fic that was horror.

The response to the stories is pretty meh. For the long fic, I swear half of my reviews are "I normally don't like horror but..." or "I usually never read stories like this but..."

It's great that you're part of the audience looking for horror fic, but by my experience, you're kind of rare. At least in my fandoms. And though I write it because I love it, it can get SO HARD to keep going with it when you know there isn't going to be near the response as other genres.

Came here to say this. Horror is what I started reading and writing, but I seldom ever write horror fanfic (unless I'm very inspired) because it's not something other people want to read.
