Overrated artists/groups

What are some artists or groups that you think are overrated?


For me, Adele and Cardi B (can't share the second one with my progressive friends who are all about her, but I just don't like her music). Also James Horner, which I feel bad about since he's dead and all. But I just never really thought much of most of his music.

I agree on Leo. So overrated. I honestly can't think of a movie he's done that I've enjoyed besides Inception, which would have been better without him.

heh, I didn't like Inception but it wasn't so much the acting as I found the whole thing very pretentious nonsense.

How did I not know there was a Fahrenheit 451 movie coming out starring Michael B. Jordan? This is the first time I've heard about it.

The Human Torch jokes are too good to pass up.

Probably not gonna watch that, after all the reviews I’ve seen.

Am now noticing that I’ve only really liked watching MBJ in Ryan Coogler movies (and on tv I guess but those were excellent shows).

It was... okay. I don't think it was terrible and I respect what they tried to do with it (updating it to acknowledge tech), but... it just didn't do anything for me. I will admit it's actually one book I've never read (ha!) so I can't really compare it to the original story. As far as storylines go, kind of predictable, but I don't know if that's the fault of the book or the movie adaptation.

Didn't really affect my opinion of MBJ as an actor though.

it's OK to find dead people overrated, I think Norman Mailer is one of the most overrated writers of all time and he's been dead for 11 years

Charles Dickens is my go-to for overrated writers, but he's been dead long enough that he's cycled all the way around to 'why would you feel bad about that'? <_<

I like them both well enough, but feel the Rolling Stones and Led Zepplin are both hilariously overrated.

Pink Floyd is even more overrated, IMO...I don't get the love for them, at all - I like 3 tracks from them, all of them on The Wall (Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2), Hey You, and Comfortably Numb)...and can't stand to sit through the rest of the album for them, so thank God for YouTube.
