101. I kind of know how you feel. For me, it's massive amounts of medical bills that prevent me from being able to go to cons or buy cool stuff. It was only while I had a job that I could afford to do those things and now that I now longer have one, I can't.

But you shouldn't let it get you down. There are plenty of ways that you can enjoy fandom without spending money. Hell, sometimes people in fandom are nice enough to donate money for those who can't afford things. Have you considered doing something like that? Offer to write/draw/whatever talent you posses in exchange? It's not such a bad idea, though I know how hard it can be when pride gets in the way...

183. HE is the reason I probably won't see the third movie. Simply because HE proably isn't in it. If someone tells me otherwise, I might still go.

Well, I mostly made a post in my art/writing journal and my personal journal, but sometimes communities will let you post as well. Get some of your friends to cross post your plea, if you can. That always helps. I also set up a paypal account for myself and had a button for donations in my journal, profile, and art journal.

Of course, I felt like crap at first, for selling/pimping myself out, but people actually were willing to donate, even if it was five bucks.

Sometimes, timing counts too... Like, I wouldn't post a commissions thing around Christmas time, because people are too busy buying stuff for their families rather than themselves. Summertime seems to work pretty well, and sometimes in the fall. It's a bit hit and miss, though. :\

Anyway... hope that helps, at least a little. xD;
