112. I don't ship Squall/Rinoa myself, but my that is one fascinating theory. It never even occurred to me, but now that you mention it... there are facts to support it, no question. Interesting.

176. Companies haven't realized that the popularity of anime in the US is a DIRECT result of fansubs yet? Or have they, and feel the market is saturated so now they have to squeeze the fanbase for every last dollar? Either way, I'm one of those terrible people who now wants to make fansubs after seeing that poster. (Sort of like how the little note on the OFP, dripping with condescension and coloured with racist overtones, make me want to steal Japanese fanart. And I've never done that in my life - nor have I ever wanted to.)
