Another warning for animal death

My kitty was diagnosed with cancer just about two and a half months ago. The vet didn't think he would live more than a week or two, but he is apparently a fighter. He has now lost the battle and I'm taking him in tomorrow to put him out of his pain.

He was almost 12 years old, which both seems like such a long time and not long enough. And I'm a mess.

Thanks. I keep trying to tell myself that at least I got time with him. More time then they thought I would.

Oh no. :( I'm really sorry. My old kitty's been diagnosed with CKD and he's basically on a slow (thankfully painless for now) decline, and I know the day's going to come soon where we'll have to do the same as you. You're doing the best thing for him. <3 I'm so sorry for your loss.
