Yeah, so many bad fake southern accents are done by Britsh people in particular. It's really weird.

I spent that entire movie going "Oh my god just CHILL OUT IT'S ABOUT A BANK HEIST DURING A HURRICANE. DIAL IT BACK."

I didn't see the movie but coming from hurricane territory (Florida Gulf coast, hello Irma) my sister and I watched the trailer before the movie we were in the theater to see and laughed our asses off at the way the movie presented a 'hurricane'. Somehow the trailer didn't give me the impression 'dial it back' was anywhere in the writer/director/actors vocabulary.

(don't get me wrong, I'm gleefully delighted with waaaay to over the top movies that take that and run with it.)

I loved Geostorm but this just annoyed me. Probably from the story more than anything else.
